About Us
Derby City Mission exists to serve the city of Derby in Social Action and Christian Mission. We are good news to those who need it most; so we help those caught in debt at our Jubilee clinics and reach out to the homeless, drug addicts, street drinkers and refugees through our Recovery drop in and Night Shelter projects.
We are committed to empowering and fostering partnership within both the church and city agencies. For example, we partner with local churches in co-ordinating the Healing on the Streets (HOTS) and Street Pastor projects in Derby.

About Us
We are part of a grassroots movement working to provide aid and support to refugees. Since we started out in August 2015, in response to the ever increasing refugee crisis, we’ve been involved in several convoys to Calais and Dunkirk, delivering vital aid to refugees and volunteering in camps. We work alongside other teams to send sorted, donated clothing and essential items to refugee camps in France and Greece and – when this is possible – to Syria. Donated items we cannot send are sold to raise funds and we also have events and sponsored activities to raise further money. We are also hoping to run local English and art classes in the future.

Local Welcome
W: https://www.localwelcome.org/derby
About Us
Local Welcome makes it fun and easy to cook and eat with refugees in your community.
In a divided world, making the time to connect with someone different from yourself is a radical act. We use the magic of food to bring people together, connect and share their stories. You might start cooking together as strangers, but you’ll end up eating as friends.
