Mental Health Together is launching an important new project
On Wednesday 19th June, Mental Health Together are hosting a launch event for their project: Physical Health for People with Serious Mental Illness.
- This project offers an important opportunity to put the experiences and aspirations of people living with serious mental illness at the heart of improvements to physical wellbeing and health care.
- It provides the chance to explore what is working well for people at the moment and what needs to be changed.
This issue affects so many of us in different ways whether as care receivers or care providers. It is important that we listen to the voice of experience so that initiatives to support physical health are as accessible and empowering for people as possible.
The project launch is a great opportunity to come and find out more about it and to help shape the work.
Who should attend the Project Launch?
- Anyone living with a serious mental health condition, or caring for someone who does, and is interested in good physical health. We would love to tell you more about the project and, most importantly, hear your experience. What helps you to stay physically fit and well, and what hinders you?
- Primary, secondary and voluntary sector providers, service commissioners and local authorities who are supporting or wish to support people with serious mental illness to stay physically well. All of you have something really important to offer and we would like to hear what you are doing and how we can work together to make this project as successful and influential as possible.
Please note that places are limited so they will deliberately prioritise places to ensure a varied range of attendees.
Where is the Project Launch?
